Waterfront Wedding Ceremony
The updated ceremony courtyard places the Potomac directly behind your vows. A 90-foot hardscape walkway creates a defined processional aisle leading to the ceremony area and white arbor.
The courtyard also features astroturf and updated landscaping designed to create a finished waterfront setting for ceremonies and photographs. For couples who need or prefer an indoor ceremony, the Pavilion provides another option on the property.
Lawn + Patio Cocktail Hour
After the ceremony, guests can head to the lawn and patio for cocktail hour while you explore the property for portraits.
The pier, shoreline, Manor House, landscaped grounds, and tree-lined drive give your photographer a variety of locations within a short walk of the celebration.
Reception in the Pavilion
Move inside the Pavilion for dinner, drinks, dancing, and the rest of the evening. The enclosed and conditioned space can accommodate different reception layouts, while the loft adds another level overlooking the Pavilion below. The full-service bar keeps beverage service within the reception space, and the adjoining patio makes it easy for guests to step outside throughout the night.
Set Sail on the
Potomac
Weatherly gives couples a wedding-day option you won’t find at most venues: using the river itself.
Groomsmen or members of the wedding party can arrive by boat, couples can incorporate a boat into portraits, or newlyweds can leave from the private pier for a grand exit on the Potomac.
The 130-foot pier is also one of our favorite places for waterfront portraits and sunset photos, with solar lighting extending the experience into the evening.
And if leaving by boat isn’t quite dramatic enough, ask Denise about adding fireworks.

Once guests arrive, everything takes place on the property. The ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, portraits, and getting-ready spaces are all located at Weatherly.

Approximately 100 on-site parking spaces provide room for guests, while the widened driveway and dedicated loading area give caterers, florists, rental companies, entertainment teams, and other wedding vendors easier access to the Pavilion.

If your dog belongs in the family photos, they’re welcome at Weatherly, too.
